Symbol, embodiment of strength and solidness
Steel is a consistent element that I relate to
I chose steel to express myself,
but sometime feel steel chose me.
What is the quintessence of steel?
What is its nature?
Taken away from the earth?
Taken by force?
Born in fire and harvest by fire
Shapeless glowing rock and then separated from the soil,
 achieves uniqueness;
Steel once heated remarkably resembles water.
Two contradictions so alike but never together in unison
This alloy of iron and carbon is solid and rocklike.
But rock is nature’s child,
Steel is closer to human being
There’s more violence and power in steel
Destruction and creation
But whatever is the quintessence of material
 it has significant influence on art.
