life skills necessary for preparedness and adaptability, to memorizing information necessary for passing a succession of standardized tests. Learning for Life aims to fill the gap between life skills and academics at a younger age. Elementary age students and their parents are provided with learning tools that can be used as a supplement to their education during summer breaks. At the end of the summer, students have the opportunity to an activities fair in which local community members and businesses come together to help students practice and demonstrate their newly learned skills. Learning for Life provides kids with a series of hands-on activities, which enables them to set a foundation of life skills from which they can build upon for future success.
