FF Antithesis Tote Bags
As part of the release of Yanone’s FF Antithesis and its movie premiere at this year’s TYPO Berlin 2014, we created a limited edition FF Antithesis tote bag. Using Pantone 811 the 100% cotton bag features a design based on the design principles by Yanone himself.

The bag will only be available at TYPO Berlin 2014 so be sure to keep an eye out for one.

FF Antithesis by Yanone is based around the concept of tension between three unequal poles. The three members of the display family relate to each other in a very high visual contrast. The Regular is a rather slabby Serif, the Italic a connected Script and the Bold a rather fat Sans Serif. Each are designed to accompany any of the two others to create design with high visual tension.

In an attempt to create an interdisciplinary work of art, the typeface is being accompanied by a ten minute dance art music film to be released in spring 2014.
About Yanone

Born in Dresden, Germany, and grown up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Yanone started to design type in his first university years at the Bauhaus-University in Weimar, leading to the release of his first typeface Kaffeesatz in 2004.
