“Sitting in the stars” is a letterpress printing card made in honor of my best friend and great graphic designer, Caio Rodrigues (in memoriam).
In addition to all the virtues that a friend could have, Caio was big-hearted and had a loveable gaze on the world. He believed in greatness and in the mysteries alive in each one of us, that we were all wonders waiting to be looked at.
When we lived together, Caio used to play the song “The Sun” by the band “Portugal the Man” - one of his favorites- so early in the morning…So I made a print in his honor, in this way we could always remember and know how he made every experience - everything he touched - equally brilliant and magnificent.
Well...wherever you are, I made a card for you, Caio, who is sitting in the stars.
For everything we shared friend, I'm grateful... Love you, buddy!

Printed in letterpress with his favorite gold at Tipografia Matias (special thanks to the letterpress collective 62pontos, Gabriel Nascimento, Olavo D’Aguiar and Tipografia do Zé). All of the types used were from Tipografia Matias letterpress archive.
