Twist on Turning Torso

The Turning Torso building in Sweden inspired me to make a bunch of twisting building designs. Using shapes such as triangles or any kind of polygon can create an interesting shape. Overdoing the rotation can cause some weird effects that may be difficult to recreate in an actual construction of a building. A technique I used when making these buildings was to creat a simple two dimentional shape and extrude the polygon vertically. After I added windows I used a modifier that allows simple deformations such as twisting an object. By using that modifier I am able to create the twisted structure that differ from a stack then rotating twist.
Using the same method explained previously, I created another building. The aperture diffraction in the image farthest to the left was drawn with a simple flat brush rotated 60 degrees every stroke. I’ve included a render of the building without the twist modifier.
