My Bachelors project at Designschool of Kolding is a set of prototype protection gear for speedskaters.

 

I enjoy high speeds as any other race addict, but I really enjoy my speeds on 110 mm wheels that I propel myself, and I love going the long marathon distances and further to challenge myself to see if I can do it faster.

 

What I don't like is the equipment that I have to wear in case of a crash!

 

I've been speed skating for about six years, and in all the years I have never found equipment that I felt comfortable with, so I wanted to create the next generation of protection gear by looking into the animal kingdom to see what has been done before and what I could put to good use in the human world.
