Beam Toothpaste Tablet Dispenser

Accelerating adoption of toothpaste tablets through user experience

Toothpaste tablets can be a plastic-free alternative to traditional toothpaste tubes, but they are struggling to become mainstream.
We set out to make the responsible choice more compelling. By identifying key pain-points in the user experience we were able to designed a product and service that aims to accelerate adoption.
Implementing circular economy principles also results in a proposal that would reduce waste and build lasting customer relationships with continuous revenue.

The refillable dispenser conveniently ejects a single tablet at a time, making it faster and less fiddly.
The reusable dispenser is designed for years of use, reducing packaging waste over time. Tablet refills are available through a subscription service and come in compostable pouches.
Made from stainless steel and glass — both widely recycled through kerbside recycling programmes — the dispenser maximises the likelihood of material recovery and reuse.
The circular business model reduces waste and depletion of natural resources, while building lasting customer relationships with a continuous revenue stream.
A year’s worth of tablet refills can be stored in the air-tight aluminium tin. Users are prompted to re-order after opening the final pack with a convenient QR code.
Accelerating adoption of toothpaste tablets by making them the desirable, convenient, effective and enjoyable choice.
