Drawing Contest 2021 (평화 통일 그림 공모전)
My drawing shows two sisters embracing each other, they represent the union between South Korea and North Korea. They both wear the hanbok also called the chosōn-ot in North Korea. This traditional Korean dress dates back to 57 B.C, dating back to the kingdom of Koguryo. The two Koreas have, in fact, a common past and have only been divided for 75 years. It is the reunion of two sisters who had the same childhood with a common history and traditions but who grew up differently. Korea's blue refers to the Korean Unification Flag symbolizing the two countries' will to have common development and be partners. This reunification also symbolizes the reunion of two separated families. I believe that South Korea and North Korea will be one family. 제 그림은 서로 안으려고 하는 두 자매를 표현하고 있습니다. 두 자매는 모두 한복 또는 북한에서는 조선옷이라고 불리는 옷을 입고 있습니다. 이 전통 한복은 기원전 57년 고구려 시대 때부터 입었던 전통 옷입니다. 이 옷에서 볼 수 있는 것처럼 한국과 북한은 75년에 남북이 나뉘기 전에는 같은 역사와 배경을 갖고 있었던 한민족입니다. 제 그림에서 어렸을 때 같은 역사와 전통을 가진 두 자매가 다른 곳에서 자라다가 다시 만나게 되는 모습을 볼 수 있습니다. 파란색의 한반도는 통일기의 색으로서 함께 파트너를 이루어 발전하고자 하는 두 나라의 의지와 염원을 잘 상징하고 있습니다. 통일은 나누어진 가족이 다시 만나는 것과 같습니다. 저는 한국과 북한이 한 가족으로 다시 연합될 것이라고 믿습니다.
