PAVILION
Steel and Polycarbonate Structure
“Materials also dramatically affect the sound of rooms...this is probably the least consciously considered aspect of architecture. Yet the impact on our perceptions of space and  and ‘atmosphere’ is immediate." Richard Weston

This is a temporary Café Pavilion designed for a university. The design brief stated that it should be constructed using a metal structure, as Corus (steel manufacturers) are the sponsors, but it can be clad in metal, glass or plastic, or any combination of two of these. The site forms part of a green park which surrounds the centre of the University.
The Pavilion is for use from May to September, it will then be removed.
