Steven Cash Nickerson, the president and chief financial officer of PDS Tech, Inc., has managed the company’s business development and finances for more than a decade. Beyond his management responsibilities, Steven Cash Nickerson founded David’s Cure in memory of his father, who lost his life to prostate cancer.
David’s Cure, also known as The David H. Nickerson Foundation, was founded in 2008 with a mission to raise funds for prostate cancer research and enhance community awareness of the disease. Prostate cancer affected more than 180,000 American men in 2010, according to the American Cancer Society. David’s Cure seeks to spread awareness of the condition and to aid in its eradication by hosting such events as its annual golf tournament. In the past, the foundation’s golf fundraising events have financially supported organizations such as the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center, which seeks to fuse MRI images to three-dimensional prostate ultrasound images in an effort to improve the biopsy processes necessary for the treatment of prostate cancer.
