استوحى هذا المشروع من احدى أكثر الكوكبات تميزًا والتى تزين سماءنا وهى كوكبة الدب الأكبر، وقد نسجت حولها القصص من مختلف الشعوب حول العالم ابرزهم اليونانيون والعرب والمصريون القدماء وسكان امريكا الأصليين. توجد بداخل كوكبة الدب الأكبر اشهر المجموعات النجمية وهى بنات نعش الكبرى حيث تتكون من 7 نجوم فأما النجم الذي على طرف الذيل فيسمى القائد، بينما النجمان اللذان على المضلع (الدبة ومرّاق) فيُسميان الدليلان أو المشيران، وذلك لأن امتداد الخط المكون منهما يشير الى النجم القطبى وبالتالي اتجاه الشمال الجغرافي.

بينما ربط اليونانيون وسكان امريكا الاصليون كوكبة الدب الاكبر بالدب تعود تسمية مجموعة بنات النعش الكبرى للاسطورة العربية وبالاضافة لثقافات اخرى والتى تتخيل المجموعة النجمية اشبه بالجنازة فالشكل الرباعى هو النعش بينما يتذيله بقية النجوم (البنات) لحمله وترمز النجمتان الوسطيان (المئزر والسها اللذان قد يخيل للرائى انهما نجم واحد) لابنة النعش وابنها

This project was inspired by the Ursa Major which is one of the most distinctive
constellations illuminating the sky. There are lots of myths from different cultures around the world associated with it including the Greek, Arabic, Ancient Egyptian and Native American cultures. The Big Dipper which is the most well-known asterism found within The Ursa Major, contains 7 stars, the star on the tail is called *Alkaid, while the 2 stars on the quadrangle (*Dubhe and *Merak) are known as the Pointers and that's because the extention of the line they form points towards the north pole

While the Ursa Major was associated with a bear in Greek and Native American mythology, the Arab myth along with other cultures as well associates the Big Dipper with a funeral. The quadrangle represents a bier (coffin) and the tail stars are the daughters following the bier. The middle star (really the two stars *Mizar and *Alcor) represents the daughter of Alnaash (the man in the bier) and her son
