The first project for my ART 235 class is to create a series of images using one of each of the 7 creative strategies. These are: Combinations, Juxtaposition, Isolation, Matephor or Similie, Change of Context or Environment, Physical/Shape Similarity, and Material Change, Swap, or Focus. 

With these in mind the item I chose to use with these strategies was a lightbulb. 

Combinations

"Lighter Than Air"

By swapping the football out with the lightbulb it plays on how a player needs to have light hands in order to change a football without fumbling. 

Juxtaposition

"Light Powered" 

Steam powered engines were popular but as now there is a shift to renewable energy this is a on solar power or in this case light power. 

Isolation

"Eat Light"

Eating healthy is always about picking the appropriate foods and many times that many choosing light over heavy foods. This is why swapping the lightbulb in for the pear is a reminder to eat light. 

Metaphor or Similie

"Tread Lightly"

Rickety bridges inspire light steps as a person crosses walks from one end to another. Swapping the rickety steps for a tube lightbulb still work with the need for light steps on the bridge. 

Change of Context or Environment

"Waiting for Bulbs to Bloom"

Flowers and plants are referred to bulbs. This is play on the fact that eventually plant bulbs will bloom yet lightbulbs do not. 

Physical/Shape Similarity

"Light Up the Sky" 

Lightbulbs can be the same shape as hot air balloons as seen in the photo. Both hot air balloons and lightbulbs are often in high places the sky, lamp posts, ceilings, etc. 

Material Change, Swap, or Focus

"Dancing, Staying Light on Your Feet!"

Changing the feet of the dancing women who are both in mid jump into lightbulbs reminds that to be a good dancer, a person needs to be light on their feet.
