TheScrabble project reflects the information mosaic we use to create our image of reality. It is meant to encourage viewers to reflect on their knowledge about the world, usually constructed on the basis of unified information supplied by large mediaconcerns through mainstream media.It is also an invitation to independent explorations and verification of information on the most important aspects of our reality, such as GMOs, global health policies, the nature and causes of financial crises, corporate social responsibility, global warming, conspiracy theories, etc. The project is dedicated to eight topical documentaries available on YouTube.
First, I made 24 forms, then around 400 scrabble letters, employing the traditional ceramic process. Then, the letters was mounted (glued) onto walls at 8 selected points throughout the city of Krakow / Poland. Each installation is dedicated to a different documentary movie and the criss-crossing words are a reference to their content. At the end, a series of posters illustrating the films referred to the installations will serve as a summary of the project. They will complete the installations, being the only element pointing to a particular film they allude to.

Projekt Scrabble jest odbiciem informacyjnej układanki, z jakiej tworzymy nasz subiektywny obraz rzeczywistości. Jest zachętą do samodzielnego poszukiwania i weryfikowania informacji na temat problemów, z jakimi boryka się nasza cywilizacji, takich jak globalna polityka zdrowotna, globalna polityka żywnościowa i GMO, natura i przyczyny kryzysów finansowych, społeczna odpowiedzialność biznesu, globalne ocieplenie, spiskowe teorie władzy, etc.
Projekt poświęcony jest ośmiu traktującym o takiej tematyce filmom dokumentalnym, dostępnych w popularnym serwisie YouTube. Filmy te prezentują fakty, poglądy i polemiki rzadko obecne w mediach głównego nurtu, a co najmniej stawiają pytania pozostające bez odpowiedzi. Z podawanych w nich informacji i krzyżujących się opinii widz może ułożyć sobie własny obraz rzeczywistości i zadać sobie pytanie, co jest prawdą, a co jedynie informacyjną zasłoną, postawioną nam przed oczami.
W ramach projektu wykonałam 8 instalacji, będących przeskalowaną wersją widoków z planszy do gry scrabble. Ok. 400 liter zostało wykonanych ręcznie, w tradycyjnym procesie ceramicznym. Instalacje umieszczone zostały na ścianach w wybranych punktach Krakowa. Każda z instalacji poświęcona została innemu filmowi dokumentalnemu, a krzyżujące się słowa - klucze są znaczeniowo powiązane z jego treścią.
Podsumowaniem projektu jest seria plakatów do filmów, do których nawiązują instalacje.
