The Wire Series -
Quebec generates massive amounts of electricity from hydro power. That power is transmittled via very high capacity overhead lines that seem to be EVERY WHERE in the countryside around Quebec City.
The following series of drawings started when I was sitting by the St Lawrence River just downstream from Quebec City along the river and taking in a beautiful spring scene with daffodils dominating the foreground -- then turning around and being confronted by the ... wires ...
The wire drawings start out in darkness, became more hopeful but returned to darkness.
