The profile for Absract Records was developed during a two-week course at Bergen National Academy of the Arts, with logotype as topic. The task was to create a logo that would represent a record company focusing on electronica.
Round rhythmic shapes is used as the base for the logotype. The logos distinct forms make it easily recognizable, even when separated in smaller pieces. This allows me to use details from the logo as a graphic element.
I chose black as the main color, and the logo appear most often negative (white) on dark background. Only a turquoise navigation rectangle adds color to the dramatic surface. The rectangle is always located in the upper or lower edge of the format. The chosen style for the pictures emphasize the mystical and dreamy world. The pictures are from the music video for What Else is There by Röyksopp.
