The Project
The project was conducted over six weeks, and our team comprised of Jasmin (Director), Nichole (Producer) and myself (Videographer)
Our Task
We had to develop an idea for the video, complete the pre-production & production process and capture & edit our footage and audio.
The Goal
To use visual storytelling and audio to showcase the lifestyle of hawkers and spread awareness on their laborious work to inspire greater appreciation for their dedication.

The Process
After doing our research, we finalised our idea and began working on our project planning sheet and shooting script.

We went on location to film at our chosen site, Tekka Centre at Little India. Filming was done with an iPhone 13 Pro and audio was recorded with a Zoom H5 recorder.
Raw footage we captured and uploaded to Google Drive
After compiling our footage, I edited our first rough cut using Premiere Pro.
Following feedback from our lecturer, my group and I improved our rough cut and also added captions and narration. We finalised our changes and exported our final video.

Finished Product
Conclusion
This project taught me the importance of planning, especially when filming in public places. We faced many challenges, from having difficulty working with the audio to the corner of our phone stabiliser being visible in our footage. Ultimately, we managed to overcome these problems and I learnt a lot more about film and production.
