The Project

Filmwork is an online platform that connects artists and art related professionals with their possible future careers and live-stage projects. It was ideated and designed to better align dancers, actors, singers, producers and performers with live shows, theatrical plays, musicals, visual and sound content production.

Filmwork changes the status quo of an artist’s life once and for all.

We designed the visual identity following the passion of artistic performance and the energy of actually being live on stage. 
For the logo we used the initial letters of the brand name in combination with the silhouette of an old-fashioned camera which as a symbol represents the soul of the brand. 

We tried to give a modern character by keeping a simple and understandable line in the communication materials, conveying the immediacy of using the platform, we chose crimson colours to emphasize the classic and majestic character of the theatre.












The Logo

Filmwork’s logo is a typography merge of the letters “F” and “W”, since the brand name consists of the two words “Film” and “Work”. The lettering becomes a minimalistic icon as one keeps on looking at it, forming a retro filming camera. This way the long-lived and restless legacy of filming art becomes current and tech-savvy joining the two ends of the same wire: the art worker with their art!

Color Palette Inspiration








The Brand Implementations

Stationary assets were created with a business-like character having black as their dominant colour. This resembles the performing life backstage, where there is always less light and more concentration time. Someone might say that most of the artistic work happens backstage.

Thus, we chose to make business material less edgy and more professional. Brand implementations online follow a different path using Filmwork’s colour palette in all its glory aiming to connect with the audience and making them engage with Filmwork’s social accounts.











The campaign

A clear and concise messaging was used. Images that are truly relatable to every artist were selected for the brand’s awareness campaign. This way the audience would notice and become quickly aware of this new app.

The strategy behind the campaign was to make artists feel that this solution suits their needs, stimulating their interest to sign up to the platform.









The categories

The four main audience categories Filmwork was trying to engage with were actors, musicians, dancers and producers. For each category, images that would resonate with potential future users in terms of relevance were used and they were turned into aesthetically balanced and on-brand category banners.

















The concept

After designing all the elements needed to support the campaign (online and offline) the concept could move forward by making itself broadly known to the public. Posters and dedicated banners in theatres, malls and music halls would serve the purpose of introducing the solution to a broader audience. This way Filmwork could strengthen their position in the market or even find valuable partners for their project.
