Louis Vuitton Poster

The objective of this project was to create a large-scale poster that celebrates an interesting place that I wanted to explore, and that I think other GCU students would enjoy. I chose to go to Louis Vuitton, where I had previously worked, and wanted to make a poster that would be more geared to the target market of GCU college students, rather than a wealthy person. I used poster paper, an India ink brush pen, and Micron pens to accomplish this project. I used allot of cartoon and graffiti style artwork and lettering in this work.
These pictures that I took as research for my project were my main sources of inspiration (along with the keep all pictured above which is a common mens travel and more on the "affordable" side of Louis Vuitton travel goods). The mannequin, that was very unique, was in the mens store which fit my masculine persona I was trying to communicate. I loved the textures of the hair and depth of facial features.
The last two pictures display some of my thought process of capturing rough thumbs images of the things around the store to draw my inspiration from the store in the very beginning of this process.
