Crafting Brands For Life Brand Development

The brief: To design a new approach to engage employees when enrolling in CBFL's on-boarding process. Previously a series of text-heavy online form pages, R/GA were tasked with visualising a more unique, "human" look & feel, in both copy and visual tone.

The styles below all adhere to the same thought process, with subtle variations on font and character/iconography possibilities. The main areas I addressed to answer the brief; 1) condensed, digestible copy lines 2) large, friendly almost comic-like fonts, and 3) funny simple illustration styles to bring the copy to life and even fun to engage with.

The final version uses CBFL's house font but shows how the brand can be further developed to include icons and characters, and how the typography can be made more playful and succinct.

The style of the characters is based on the simplistic line-drawings of artist Miss Tiina, modified and redrawn to fit the context.
