In the first report of the Sindh Arts College board for the year 1888-89, It shows the races, religions or castes of the students attending the college classes and a total no. of 71 admissions were given and students coming from various districts like Karachi, Hyderabad, Shikarpur and Punjab (Sindh Archives) which shows the regions it covers and how vast its approach to make their citizens knowledgeable and a perfect step to start their career, Abdul Qadeer Khan, Dr Adeeb Rizvi, Murad Ali Shah, are few names who passed out from this college and we know how capable these people are and they hold intuitions within themselves.
After 135 years of splendid reputation as one of the best-known colleges in Pakistan where the population has increased to 2.6 billion and the demand for education rises all over the world. In the year 2022, D.J Science College only gives 86 admissions almost 85% less than the last year. The decline in fresh admissions in the college, the proposal of setting up government offices on the premises and now the transfer of the college principal set alarm bells ringing in the quarters concerned, who found the development mysterious and a hint of conspiracy against the educational institution.
