A well known brand of tea maker invited us to create a concept for a CGI advert celebrating the 'power of tea'.
We answered the call and created a series of storyboards that we then fleshed out into a short animated test sequence for review and approval.
We named our campaign "Spilt T" and wanted to show off the vibrant, punchy flavour of this particular brand of tea with an explosive VFX piece of tea shaded 'T's exploding out of a cup.
The idea came from a rewatch of The Matrix. We wanted to create something completely over the top, so the bullet time sequence appealed and we wanted to incorporate something similar, so we froze the simulation whilst spinning a virtual camera around the cup mid-explosion.
The end result was something we were really happy with because not only was it entertaining, but also a lot of fun to make.
