Site museum in the restored building of “Castellón”, patrimonial building of Puente Alto, in the capital city Santiago, Chile. The building was partially destroyed in the earthquake of 2010. Part of the assignment from the Town Hall was to provide in these new version of the building a museum program, which puts in value the cultural heritage and history of the most populous district of the capital of Chile. The project consisted on making visible the collective imaginary of this community to visitor as to the local community.
Project Objectives:
Generate a tour inside the building which respect and intervene as little as possible on the structure
Generate the museology content shown with their respective supports
Designing supports that intervene as little as possible in these heritage building
