Welcome to this special edition of Kult, a homegrown issue that explores the theme of 'Memory'. This issue is unique in that it features only artist from Singapore - as part of wider Singapore Memory Project being pioneered by the National Library Board. Singapore is one of the fastest grownig countries in Asia, with a surprisingly fertile creative scene. It has always been a vibrant international city. with a rich inherited tradition of varied cultures, religions and languages. the danger is that with rapid growth, we may forget our immigrant roots and our shared heritage.
