LA NOUVELLE VAGUE
Just as the incroyables started a revolution with their fashion, as are the youth of today expressing their thoughts through dressing style. French sociologist Durkheim suggested that if there is something wrong with our society, then criminality is a response to that. though, the actions of incroyables and the merveilleuses were anti -establishment by nature, the feelings behind those justified them. Akin to this or any subculture, there is a new wave that is building up today. The youth, wants freedom of thought - freedom to excercise those thoughts. So, keeping this in mind, I shall create a narrative that will showcase this liberty and the quest for it through fashion. Drawing further inspiration from the chosen subculture, the styling be improvised.
