Successfully funded on kickstarter, GlowWormz are translucent stickers that go over the apple logo on a mac laptop. The sticker's design allows the light from the logo to pass through it and appear to glow.
The project started just a few years prior when I was visiting colleges with my brother. We noticed that more than half of the students were working on Macs. All of those Mac's were void of any individuality, spirit, or personality. The bright mass of Apple logos grabbed our attention and made us focus on the computer's boring aluminum backing. That is when we thought that we could possibly utilize the light as the source to provide a unique personalization to our computers.
I had seen stickers that used the light as part of a bigger more elaborate decal, but I wanted to stay within the boundaries of the logo. We also wanted to develop The uniqueness is within the simplicity of the design and the playfulness of the sticker's interaction with the apple/light.
