This was my teams proposal at Startup Weekend Seattle
 
TeamBirthday uses an anonymous voting mechanism to help groups reach a consensus on events/locations for a birthday.
 
I was incharge of creating the mockups and graphic design for the webapp.

The design goal was to create an experience which minimised the cognitive load using typographical hierarchy and simple colors
 
Creating all of this in 8 hours was a fun and challenging experience.

The eagle with the birthday cap signifying ,albiet in a quirky way ,the democratic way of birthday.

You can vote on a friends event or create your own. The size of the circles indicate the number of people going.

Tried to keep it simple

This helps the algorithm create a list of options people can vote on.

Check the list of places and add/subract if needed before sending out the poll
Message which invitees see before starting voting.
This is meant to give them simple information about what they are about to do.
Tried to highlight the important areas.

Invitees can see essential details about a place and vote on it.
Worked hard to minimize the information overload,
using grey text, swipable text and pictures and mapped locations. 
Final result screen after the poll has been computed.
Gives users the option of posting directly on facebook.
