Sky Lanterns in Unreal Engine 5

Some sky lantern festival tests – actually based on a project I did a couple of years ago now, rendering using Cycles in Blender. I’ve linked it down below, but that took hours to render out per frame – a far cry from using UE5 where it tooks only minutes to render out each clip. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/oAYJvO
Lanterns were modelled and textured in Blender. Particle systems were a combination of Niagara particle systems for the background assets and animated Blueprint actors for the foreground lanterns.

This was made using Unreal Engine 5.1 Preview 2.
