SUSHI KEI
Sushi Kei is a Japanese food online shop focusing on sushi, bento, etc.,. for students and officers. The main objective is to express through the logo that the restaurant is both traditional and contemporary, where you will always find the best sushi.
The challenge here was balancing my personal artistic style with one rooted in tradition. I started by researching Japanese typography and taking inspiration from traditional shapes and more modern sans-serif typefaces.
A second challenge I faced was incorporating pictorial elements into the logo without making it too busy and distracting from the core idea of high-quality Japanese food. One of my favorite concepts from this phase is the "salmon" mark.
The color was chosen with bold colors (orange of "salmon, combined with neutral tone as black and white) and clear lines in order to express young and freshness.
