Origin Story of "Sanguis"
Sanguis is another word for blood in Latin, thus its a suitable name for the polearm + Knuckle. Sanguis is a weapon that it used for battle, the Polearm is generally used for long range but with the addition of a knuckle that is used for better grip strength and it can be detached for close range combat. The story behind Sanguis is that every weapon has a soul and chooses their human partner at their own will.Sanguis belonged to the army general who was known as a hero to the people. In the last battle to protect the Tanca kingdom, the soldiers used their lives to protect the people and keep the peace, however there no survivors on either side. Thus the battle was won but at the cost of all the soldiers lives. In general Li’s last dying breath, he knew something was off since they should’ve won easily. There was a traitor that had given the enemy intel on the generals plan. Sanguis knew this as well, shaking with anger as the traitor watched from afar laughing at all the men that had given their life. It was their own king that had betrayed them, the king feared the general’s skill and power in the army so he wanted them dead just in case if the general were to rebel against him one day. The land where the battle took place turned into a nomans land with the spirits of the dead soldiers and their weapons chasing intruders away. Sanguis was the most cursed weapon as resentment took over from witnessing the betrayal that the general had suffered, Sanguis became engulfed in haunting red and black flames with scream of resentment never ending. Then one day a collector snuck into nomans land and met many weapons from the battle so sell, but those weapons cannot be moved physically. The weapons promised to avenge their human partners so they told the collector that their only request was that when other people wanted to buy them, the customer would help them kill the king. Only when the customer has signed the contract then they can leave the battlefield. That is how Sanguis landed up with the collector who camped in the battlefield, awaiting for a strong customer to buy him and avenge his dead partner.
