For this project, I explored 100 iterations of a topic. I went through multiple ideas such as “100 expressions of love”, and “100 ways to express the sky” but I was finally satisfied with 100 social customs around the world.

With that I went straight to research. I looked through multiple cultural guides from different countries, reading about their customs, holidays, and superstitions. After having a complete list of 100 customs, I began to work on how I wanted my set to look like. 

The design style that I wanted to follow was flat icon illustration because of its simplicity. After making sketches of about 50 customs, I choose 25 of them to create as cards. 

The final product is a set of 25 cards attached by a silver ring so that viewers can flip through them and learn about customs around the world.
