El Arteterapia es una forma de psicoterapia y práctica artística al mismo tiempo que usa diferentes lenguajes como medio principal de comunicación con personas que necesitan ayuda.

Como en cualquier terapia, la relación de confianza que se establece con el terapeuta es muy importante. En Arteterapia hay 3 piedras angulares: el terapeuta, el paciente y el objeto. Por tanto, es de suma importancia cómo estos tres elementos interactuan entre sí y las distancias que se establecen entre ellos se tienen que ir ajustando conforme se va afianzando la relación entre paciente y terapeuta.

As with any therapy, the relationship of trust established with the therapist is very important.Tthere are 3 cornerstones in Art Therapy: the therapist, the patient and the object. It is very important how these elements interact with each other. Distances established between them have to be adjusted as will strengthening the relationship between patient, therapist and the object (goal) to achieve.
