Wholly Healthy Lied to by Medusa’s Neat Meat
Owner cuts ties with Medusa after horse meat found in supplies products
[Longview, TX, On October 25, 2018] Wholly Healthy was notified of the illegal misrepresentation of products by one of our local produce suppliers. We have multiple sources from whom come our produce items such as meat. We only purchase organic, local meat: a produce promised to us by Medusa’s Neat Meat. We are very appalled by the recent discovery of horse meat in their supply, and will be taking extra measures to ensure nothing of this nature is ever a risk to our faithful consumers again
We have discontinued all business with Medusa’s Neat Meats and are working with authorities in their investigations into the company. We are having produce purchased from the supplier tested for the false ingredients, and disposing of all produce from Medusa’s Neat Meats, ensuring no leftovers or residue remain in any of our trucks. We are offering a free side serving of rice from any of our food trucks this Saturday (10/27/18).
Wholly Healthy is taking measures to ensure the quality of future suppliers: we tour the farms with which we do business, as well as looking to outside sources whom review and test produce from organic suppliers. We, Jennifer’s Wholly Healthy food trucks, put people first. We value the quality of your experience and hope the abysmal actions of Medusa’s Neat meat does not keep you from enjoying our easy, healthy meals.
