Caval is a new wine produced by the Spanish winery ‘Francisco de Andrés y Lara’, based in Rábano, Valladolid. ‘Francisco de Andrés y Lara’ is a local producer with certified origin in Ribera del Duero.
Within the wine market, Caval is part of the so-called signature wines, a sector which is currently booming. In signature wines, customers look for small, locally produced, non-industrial brands that guarantee
sustainable consumption and respect for the land. It is common for the design and projection of these brands to evoke attachment to the land, and to convey a homemade character and noticeable personality.
Signature wines are known for being supervised and elaborated by one or several winemakers—their author or authors—which guarantees the quality of the product. These features were key while analyzing competing brands and designing the marketing strategy for the target client.
