Dr. Mark: The Surgeon Who Helps People Feel More Comfortable About Their Body
The first private plastic surgery clinic in Townsville, Queensland, was established by Dr. Mark Vucak in 1994. Although he was talented in many areas as a youngster, he always had a passion to to pursue medicine and surgery.
He graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1982 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree. He then completed a Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and a Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. There he studied under some of the most renowned practitioners in the profession.
He continued his surgical studies and worked as a surgical consultant at the Royal Perth Hospital, Royal Hobart Hospital in Hobart, and Townsville University Hospital. Established in Townsville in 1994, Queensland Plastic Surgery now has locations in Rockhampton, Cairns, and Mackay, where it serves patients all over North Queensland.
As a member of the International Society of Plastic Surgeons, he frequently attends international conferences on plastic surgery to remain up to date on procedures and research. He has also spoken about his work at some of these conferences, particularly on his experiences performing breast surgery and augmentation.
Mark has nearly 40 years of experience as a surgeon, developing a wealth of knowledge and experience over this time.
