NEHERA - Emil Zatopek tribute
during the cooperation with the Nehera brand, we set ourselves the goal from the beginning of reviving one of the historical footwear models produced in Czechoslovakia during the first half of the 20th century. The Nehera clothing company was one of the most prominent clothing companies at that time, but the real king of the industry was the footwear giant Bata.

EMIL ZATOPEK
Historically, the design itself was preceded by research in museums, archives and the examination of various textual documents. Finally, we managed to discover several unique shots of Emil Zatopek, who was a phenomenon in the Czechoslovak as well as in the world of cross-country skiing. And it was his training shoes that became the main motif of the project.

TECHNOLOGY
To produe shoe collection we chose the old-fasioned technology of manually pressed vulcanized manufacturing process. It was a very laborious production method, which practically no one uses today. For the selection of materials, we used the seasonal leather and textiles used in the Nehera clothing collection. The result was a unique and highly luxurious line of sneakers.
