Frisky Mosaic x Pull&Bear

Khai Dinh (1916 - 1925) - the 12th Vietnamese King of the Nguyen Dynasty. Despite not having sympathy from citizens then, he left many high-value constructions in the UNESCO World Heritage. Amongst 4 typical Khai Dinh architectural works in Hue, Ung Mausoleum (the Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh), is the most unique one and stand-out more than any Nguyen Royal Tomb system in Hue Imperial Citadel as it took up to 11 years to complete. In a certain way, King Khai Dinh’s excessive investment in his mausoleum work caused people to criticize, however, people can not deny the value architectural art brings.

As the center of Ung Mausoleum, Thien Dinh Palace is the most elaborate and magnificent with a fusion of Western and Eastern classic architecture. It also reflects the pinnacle of Mosaic art, through the talented hands of Hue artisans, each porcelain piece and color glasses are meticulously assembled to create vivid paintings like the dragons, phoenixes, flowers, etc. Our garments are inspired by those sophisticated art details of Thien Dinh Palace with the touch of Y2K trends. The collection is a harmonious breath between history and modernity to remind the young generation of the bright side of Vietnamese culture, while always chasing modern style and forgetting how beautiful traditional value is. Besides, combined with crocheting textile techniques to highlight traditional Vietnamese handicraft
