6 darab animáció a jogállamról
A Helsinki Bizottság a 2022-es magyarországi parlamenti választások előtt keresett meg minket egy olyan izgalmas feladattal, hogy készítsünk 6 darab rövid animációt, ami a jogállam teljesülésének feltételeit a lehető legegyszerűbben és legközérthetőbben elmagyarázza. Az animációk egy fiktív család életén keresztül mutatják be a legfontosabb tudnivalókat.
A filmek vizuális alapját egy régi fotóarchívumból összevágott részletek és különböző rajzolt vizuális elemek montázsolása adja. A régi családi fotók használatával egy közvetlenebb érzetet szerettük volna kelteni, valamint azt sugallni, hogy ezek, a filmekben ábrázolt fiktív szituációk valóban bárkivel megtörténhetnek az életben is.
A filmekben használt színválasztással igyekeztünk egyetlen politikai párt arculati színeihez sem közelíteni, szem előtt tartva azt, hogy ezek a filmek nem politikai, hanem tájékoztatási céllal készültek első sorban. Ugyanakkor a választott színek enyhén nyomasztó összhatása a téma komolyságára hívja fel a figyelmet.
6 animations about the rule of law
The Helsinki Committee approached us before the 2022 Hungarian parliamentary elections with an exciting task, to create six short animations that explain the conditions for the rule of law in the simplest and most understandable way possible. The animations depict the most important information through the life of a fictional family.
The visual foundation of the films is created by combining details cut from an old photo archive and various drawn visual elements. By using old family photos, we aimed to evoke a more immediate sense and imply that these fictional situations depicted in the films could indeed happen to anyone in real life.
In the films, we made an effort not to approach the corporate colors of any political party with the color palette used. We kept in mind that these films were created primarily for informational purposes rather than political ones. However, the slightly oppressive overall effect of the chosen colors draws attention to the seriousness of the subject matter.

A karakterek
Laci és Juci a filmek során olyan mindennapos szituációkba keverednek, amik azon túl, hogy rendkívül bosszantóak, alapvető jogokat sértenek. A filmek két részre oszthatóak: az első blokkban a probléma felvetése történik meg a szülők életéből kiragadott fiktív példa bemutatásával. A második blokkban pedig a narráció további gyakorlati példákon keresztül egyfajta megoldást igyekszik nyújtani.
The characters
Laci and Juci find themselves in everyday situations during the films that, beyond being extremely annoying, violate fundamental rights. The films can be divided into two parts: in the first block, the problem is raised by presenting a fictional example taken from the lives of the parents. In the second block, the narration attempts to provide a kind of solution through additional practical examples.
Laci és Juci karakterei rendelkeznek arccal, hiszen ők képviselnek minket, velük tudunk nézőként azonosulni, míg a tömeg, a mellékszereplők arcát kitakartuk, így jelezve azt, hogy ők gyakorlatilag bárkik lehetnének. A 6 filmen keresztül a család fő karakterei ugyanazok, így a hetente ütemezett publikálásnál ők már ismerősként tértek vissza.
The characters of Laci and Juci have faces, as they represent us, and through them, we, as viewers, can identify. Meanwhile, the faces of the crowd, the supporting roles, are covered, indicating that they could practically be anyone. Throughout the six films, the main characters of the family remain the same, so they returned as familiar figures with the scheduled weekly releases.
