Located just a few minutes from the pearl of the Adriatic - Dubrovnik,
the Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel combines contemporary design, impeccable service and luxurious accommodation on the enchanting Dubrovnik Riviera.
DESIGN
The design takes its inspiration from three famous features of Dubrovnik. Firstly, Dubrovnik’s globally recognized city walls, with their hues of warm and soft grey limestone color bleached by the sun and sea air, which provided the inspiration for the base color of the interior design scheme. Secondly, the Filigree handmade jewellery which has a long tradition in Dubrovnik, initially taking over from the Ottomans, and in the days of the Dubrovnik Republic when salt was exported to Bosnia and Serbia and traded for gold, silver and other metals. Artisans would then turn the raw metals into precious objects and export them all over the world. The gold, filigree silver can be seen on the carpet design and other textiles throughout the hotel.
Coral provides the third inspiration. Much of the filigree jewellery is decorated with coral from the Adriatic Sea. It is believed in Dubrovnik that coral wards off bad luck and this is another reason why it adorns much of the traditional jewellery. Coral accents can be seen throughout the lobby, bar and accommodation units.
