Children usually, during the long hours waiting in the airport to finish traveling procedures and the flight, start to feel bored and then entertain themselves by running, screaming, playing with anything, etc. Then ‘what kinds of entertainment?’, the answer to this question was building a corner for kids can be a solution as they can play in it during long hours of waiting and in the same time parents can join in these activities to enjoy their time or relax while their children are playing and distracted.
The design's main aim was to find solutions by searching for the right distraction activities for kids and in the same time beneficial and educational. Also, it is investigating parents and how they can join their kids in these activities. Reading, movies and games were suggested have this kind of benefits and add a lot to the children making them learn new things everyday about the society they are living in and the world around them.
The process of designing included several planning scenarios for the activities that will exist in the Kids corner.
In one side the kids can watch movies, draw on balckboards and play with their parents board games.
On the other side, they have quiet area for reading and relaxing.
