The transformable comfort in dorms
A bachelor project
The CUB3 is a furniture product that provides a transformable multifunctional space-saving product that could be used in any given space, small or large. It was designed specifically for the smallest dorm room in the University of Cairo, measuring 3m × 2.5m. A compact product that includes a bed, workstation, storage room, and closet. Presenting a redesigned dorm room and more personalized property usage in a shared environment.
When used as a desk (as well as an extensional opening side desk), the CUB3 measures 120cm x 90cm, and when extended into a bed, it measures 190cm x 90cm. Both, of course, include a storage and closet space that is always available. This creation proves how a multi-functional furniture product could provide efficient space usage - specifically in the student dormitories of the university of Cairo.
