The Digital Nomad
Digital Nomadism is a new lifestyle. It changes the ideas of businesses, politics, media, and affects the social, cultural and economic contexts of communities around the world. It changes the way Society thinks and challenges the design of the workplace.
The new era of ‘Digital Nomads’ makes us think of the temporal effect on our lifestyle and how everything that surrounds us can be flexible, easily transportable and functional.

The Urban Shed
Concept
Many people face real challenges when working within standard workspaces, which lack inspiration and privacy within a public place. Another problem the modern workers face is the long hours and constant stress in their everyday jobs. The Urban Shed is imagined to be the future form of flexible workplace, boosting productivity and efficiency.

The aim of the proposal is to create a pop-up system that can be mounted on any external façade or interior wall.

This foldable structure is primary designed for the ‘Digital Nomads’, the modern workers, who travel around the world and support themselves, working long distance while collaborating with fellow minds. Private companies, who want to lend their space to a visiting partner needing a workspace, could use the ‘Urban Shed’, thus creating a separate office within the office. It will be as well local, so workers from distant places do not have to spend hours commuting to the City. It will act as a community system assisting in a happier and more productive local workforce, bringing people back together.
