The Melbourne Indigenous Arts Festival, hosted by the City of Melbourne, celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture from across the nation. This biennial festival presents a diverse range of art forms and experiences for all ages, including Indigenous theatre, music, literature, film, cabaret and dance.
I created a look and feel for the festival which represented the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in a modern and urban way. The look needed to draw on their tradition and history while still represent the modern day Indigenous lifestyle. The design also had to sit harmoniously with the City of Melbourne brand.
