Shopping center ZARYA [student course work]
Location: Vladivostok, Primorsky krai, Russia
The project is located on the road of the city Vladivostok. The task was to attract tourists and residents from all over the city to this object. The concept of the project is to combine two sites into one shopping complex. The connecting link is two overhanging floors above the road. The upper floors are a food court with access to a rooftop viewing platform. On the same level there is a restaurant with its own outdoor area. The expressive shape of the beveled corner is determined at the entrance to the city. It`s covered with perforated metal panels. Light from the interior beats outside through the perforation and stained glass windows . There is also a connection between the building and the viaduct. It continues its direction and cuts through the face of the wall, wraps around the triangle and returns, forming a second entrance on the east side.
