SMBK stands for Shruthi Manjula Balakrishna Kulkarni. Of the various attributes that I had listed out, the distinctive features I picked about myself were
- confidence
- pride
- elegance
My first name, Shruthi, means music in Sanskrit. It is also the smallest interval of pitch a human ear can detect. I blended this meaning of the name with a strong sense of my origin. With a peacock (the national bird of India) symbolizing vibrance, grace, vitality, pride and royalty blended into a treble clef, I designed the below symbol for the brand SMBK Design Co., with story telling playing an essential part in the identity.
