Back to Viareggio
I returned to Viareggio two years after my first visit, but unfortunately this time I found a nasty surprise...
In fact, shortly before my arrival a big fire had broken out in Massarosa, a few kilometers from Viareggio. As the smell of firewood spread through the streets and ash rained down from the sky, I headed to the beaches to take some photos.
I went to the beach of the Lecciona Nature Reserve, passing through one of the nature trails. The landscape was very beautiful and I took some interesting shots of people returning from the beach.
Once I reached the beach after a long walk, I found myself in front of the magnificent but sad spectacle of the Canadairs at sunset who took water from the sea to try to extinguish the flames of Massarosa.
