United Caring Services

Since in 1991, United Caring Shelters has been providing shelter, safety, food and life coaching to hundreds of individuals in Evansville, Indiana. In the summer of 2013, the organization decided to change its name to United Caring Services to be more inclusive of all the services that UCS offers beyond night shelters. While I was an intern at Zero Echo Media, we were asked to a complete refresh of the old 90s identity.

Logo Design:
The old logo was updated to have a cleaner and more simplified design, as well as now being placed within a shield. The old maroon and forest green colors where replaced with brighter hues up to be more cheerful and eye-catching.

Identity:
As the summer intern at Zero Echo, I took the new logo and colors and built a design language to create a clean, unified identity for UCS. The central feature of the identity highlights the five core principles of UCS: Dignity, Faith, Commitment, Compassion, Service, Passion and Unconditional love.

Website:
The new website, developed by Creative Director Bob Renock, was designed to better inform visitors about the work UCS is doing and provide easy access to connect with the organization.
