Richard Pine's profile

National Portrait Gallery Campaign.

The brief was to create a campaign to encourage drop-in visits to the National Portrait Gallery. They wanted to really promote the things they have to offer besides the portraits. Knowing that I wanted to appeal to people living around London who could stop by the National Portrait Gallery frequently, I designed a series of posters for display in high traffic areas, like tube stations.

My idea was to shine a spotlight on coffee, promoting the cafe facilities. The posters needed to get the idea across quickly, as passers by will maybe only glance at the posters for a few seconds.
