Philippine Mythical Gods

These are character illustrations that I made of some of the Philippine Mythical Gods for a creative concept pitch in college. Each were chosen to represent the front-liners during the pandemic who serve as our modern day heroes.
AKASI (ah-kah-see)

The God of Health and Sickness of the Sambal (Zambales). He is also known for being powerful and almighty.

Akasi was chosen to represent the medical professionals and front-liners who sacrificed themselves to help and save our  lives in the midst of the pandemic.
IDIYANALE (ee-dee-yah-nah-leh)

The Goddess of Labor and Good Deeds. She is one of the servants of Bathala (The Creator and Supreme God) who lives in the sky.

Idiyanale represents every person, business, organization, institution,  who pursued to work, volunteer, and provide help, no matter how small or huge, to each of those who are in need during a global crisis.
TIGYAMA (teeg-yah-mah)

the Protector of Families. Aside from being a kind and understanding spirit, he is a deity expected to avert evil and bring luck to household.

Tigyama serves as the face of every civil servant and government officers who strived to keep each and every family and members of the society safe and are following special orders and safety protocols during the surge of the pandemic.
