MAPPING
After re-locating to Lahore I felt a sense of identity loss. In these two pieces, I have mapped my own emotions for two specific days when I found pieces of my identity through clothing, coffee, movie, etc, brands that were common in both Karachi and Lahore. This process changed my perception of material identity; from indifference or dislike towards capitalism to the desire to identify with a brand.

Through this work I explored a different surface to illustrate on, apart from drawing paper, and turn hand drawn illustration into 3D.

FACILITATION
Emotions mapping exercises using brand packaging were facilitated with 9 particpants. They were asked to select 3 pieces of packaging that reminded them of themselves and use it to create artworks. They showcased their own unique ways of connecting with brands.
VIDEO
This video documents facial expressions, emotions and a display of personal value systems and priorities when people think of themselves as brands.

This is a seemingly simple question but it brings about a variety of interesting responses.
