Location of the mayor's house is on the hill Vinik, near the city of Niš, in the residential housing area. The ground is on the decline, and from this position offers excellent views of the entire city, to which is highly used by the project.
Objects form is reduced and very simple, and entirely subordinate to the ground on which it stands. In accessing the facility on the north side, only part of the building above the street level is visible, fully enclosed by the walls which keep interior of the building intimate from the street. On the other hand, the south side is completely covered in glass, which provides/allows/offers great views from the inside of the house. Roof stables that are arranged from high to low, mimicking the surrounding terrain, cover the house. All these elements make a whole, entirely located on the white cube below, that includes sleeping area rooms. The upper side of the cube is at the ground level, and is not visible from the side of access, but it looks like an extension of the land on which a large terrace is placed. The applied materials should provide connection with the environment, therefore the facade is completely covered with natural materials, especially wood and stone.
